Terms of Service
Last updated 2026/10/06
1. About These Terms & Who We Are
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of onecallevents.ca and its booking, account, and ticketing services (the “Website”), your use of the Website to request or book event services, and every ticket purchased from One Call Event Solutions Corp., operating as One Call Events (“OCES”, “we”, “us”, “our”), an Alberta corporation based in Calgary.
OCES is the direct provider of the casino night entertainment, DJ and audio services, architectural uplighting, and event coordination it sells, and the seller of record for every ticket sold on the Website. When you book with us or buy a ticket, your contract is with OCES.
By using the Website, requesting a quote, booking an event, or purchasing a ticket, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
2. Using Our Website
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, book an event, or purchase a ticket. A parent or guardian may purchase tickets for a minor to an event that admits minors, as described in section 4.
Accounts. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away at info@onecallevents.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use. You agree not to:
- use the Website for any unlawful purpose;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, our systems, or another user's account;
- introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- use bots or other automated software to purchase tickets or access the Website;
- resell tickets, except as section 4.6 allows;
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information when requesting a quote, booking, purchasing, or applying for a role; or
- copy or scrape Website content by automated means.
We may suspend or close your account, cancel tickets obtained in breach of these Terms, and report unlawful activity to the authorities.
Third-party services. Event pages offer a map provided by Google. By using the map, you are also bound by Google's Terms of Service (policies.google.com/terms), and Google's handling of your information is described in section 9 of our Privacy Policy. Payments are processed by our payment provider under its own terms.
3. Quotes & Private Event Bookings
A quote request is not a booking and creates no obligation on either side. Your booking is confirmed when both parties have signed our Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work, and we have received your deposit.
Your signed Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, any signed Change Order, and your Client Logistics Form govern your booking in full, including pricing, deposits, payment, cancellation, and rescheduling. These Terms apply only to your use of the Website. Where they conflict with your signed agreement, your signed agreement governs.
All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are shown before you confirm a booking or purchase.
4. Tickets to OCES Events
4.1 Seller of record.
OCES sells every ticket on the Website and is responsible to you for your ticket, for refunds under section 4.11, and for the event as described on the listing. A host venue is responsible for its premises and for any licences it holds.
4.2 Pricing and checkout.
Tickets are sold in release tiers (such as Presale, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Final Release) at prices set by OCES. Prices may rise as tiers sell out. Listed prices include all mandatory fees. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Before you pay, checkout shows the itemized price, fees, and taxes, and lets you review and correct your order. Your purchase is complete when your payment is confirmed. We will then email your confirmation, which is your copy of the contract. If a ticket is listed at an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We may limit the number of tickets per purchaser.
4.3 Age classification.
Every listing states the event's age classification at the time of sale. That classification forms part of your ticket.
- 18+: Adults 18 or older only. Every guest brings valid government-issued photo ID.
- All Ages: Open to everyone. Guests under 18 must be accompanied throughout by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 or older. Any guest who wishes to be served alcohol brings photo ID.
- All Ages, Licensed Area: Open to everyone. Only adults 18 or older may enter the licensed area, unless the event's liquor licence expressly allows otherwise. Photo ID is required to enter it.
A listing may also set a minimum age for particular activities. By purchasing, you confirm that every guest you buy for meets the event's age classification. Only adults may buy tickets. A parent or guardian may buy tickets for a minor to an All Ages event.
4.4 Identification and entry.
At 18+ events, and at the entrance to any licensed area, every guest must show valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID, regardless of apparent age. OCES staff check ID at entry and do not photograph, copy, or keep any information from it. Some host venues run their own ID checks, which may include scanning, under their own policies. Where they do, the venue is responsible for that information. We may refuse entry to anyone without acceptable ID, anyone whose ID appears altered or borrowed, or anyone who does not meet the age classification. No refund is given in these cases.
4.5 Your ticket.
Your ticket is a QR code, available in your account on the event page and in your confirmation email. Each code admits one guest, once, and the first valid scan is admitted. Keep your ticket private and do not post it online. If you cannot access your account, email info@onecallevents.ca and we will help you recover it through the purchaser's email address.
4.6 Transfers and resale.
You may transfer a ticket to another person, free of charge, through your account or by emailing info@onecallevents.ca, up to 48 hours before doors open. The new holder must meet the event's age classification. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale without our written consent. We may cancel tickets resold without consent, without refund.
4.7 Bots.
Alberta's Consumer Protection Act and Ticket Sales Regulation prohibit using software (“bots”) to buy tickets. OCES takes reasonable steps to prevent and detect bot purchases. Any ticket we find was bought using a bot will be cancelled and refunded under section 4.11.
4.8 Low ticket sales.
We may cancel any event if ticket sales are too low for it to proceed, by emailing ticket holders at least 7 days before the scheduled start. You will receive a full refund under section 4.11. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs you incur in connection with the event, so we recommend booking these with flexible cancellation.
4.9 Changes to an event.
Entertainment, schedule, and layout may change, and these changes do not entitle you to a refund. A material change is a change of date, a move to a different town or city, a change of age classification, or the replacement of a headline performer named in the listing. If a material change occurs, we will email every ticket holder, and you may request a full refund under section 4.11 within 14 days of that email, and before the event begins. Otherwise, your ticket remains valid for the changed event.
4.10 Cancellation and postponement by OCES.
We may cancel or postpone an event for low ticket sales under section 4.8, or for severe weather, venue unavailability, a government or public health order, safety concerns, or another cause beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel, we will issue a full refund of the ticket price, taxes, and fees to your original payment method within 10 business days. If we postpone, your ticket is valid for the new date, or you may request a full refund under section 4.9.
4.11 Refund policy.
All ticket sales are final, except as set out in sections 4.2, 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, and 4.10. Where a refund applies under those sections, it includes the ticket price, taxes, and fees.
If we cancel an event or an order, we will issue your refund automatically within 10 business days of the cancellation. If you are entitled to request a refund after a material change under section 4.9, email info@onecallevents.ca with your order number, and we will issue your refund within 10 business days of receiving your request.
No refund is given for missed events, late arrival, change of plans, refused entry under section 4.4, removal under section 4.12, or weather conditions when the event proceeds. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket under section 4.6.
Refunds are issued only to the original purchaser, to the original payment method where possible. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Alberta consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4.12 Conduct and admission.
OCES, the venue, and our staff may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is visibly intoxicated, who is abusive or threatening toward guests, staff, or performers, who damages property, who breaks venue rules or these Terms, or whose conduct creates a safety risk. Bags may be checked at entry, and anyone who declines a check may be refused entry. Refused entry or removal under this section is without refund.
4.13 Alcohol at OCES events.
Where alcohol is served at an OCES event, it is served under the liquor licence held by OCES or the host venue for that event only to guests of legal drinking age in Alberta, which is 18. Staff may request ID at any time and may refuse or stop service to any guest, including anyone who appears intoxicated. Alcohol must stay within the licensed area. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
4.14 Chargebacks.
If something is wrong with your order, please email us first at info@onecallevents.ca. If a chargeback is filed, the related tickets are cancelled.
5. Force Majeure
Neither you nor OCES is liable for a failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God; fire, wildfire, flood, earthquake, lightning, severe weather, or explosion; epidemics, pandemics, or public health emergencies; war, terrorism, riot, or civil unrest; any government order or restriction, including limits on public gatherings; strikes or labour disputes, including those affecting a supplier or venue we depend on; venue closure; or power failure (a “Force Majeure Event”).
For ticketed events, section 4.10 applies. For private bookings, your Master Services Agreement governs.
6. Casino Night: Fun Money Only
Our casino entertainment is played for fun only. No real money is wagered, staked, paid, or won. Chips, fun-money bills, and event props have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, prizes, or anything of value. No prize, draw, or reward is awarded based on the outcome of any game, and no one pays a separate fee to play. OCES does not conduct licensed gaming.
At the tables, you agree to follow the fun-money system as our dealers explain it, and to follow their reasonable direction on table conduct and safety. Anyone who introduces real money, side bets, or prizes tied to game results will be removed from the tables. Your Statement of Work may set a minimum age for table play.
7. Attending an Event
Your safety. Entry to an event is subject to these Terms, and each guest who enters agrees to them. Social and entertainment events carry ordinary risks, including crowds, movement around décor and any gaming tables, amplified sound, lighting effects, and equipment cabling. By attending, you accept those ordinary risks and agree to follow reasonable safety directions from our staff. This does not affect OCES's responsibility for its own negligence.
Personal property. You are responsible for your belongings. OCES is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, except where caused by our negligence.
Photography and video. OCES and its photographers photograph and record our events for our portfolio, website, social media, and marketing. At ticketed events, notice is posted at entry, and attending means you consent to this use, without payment. At private events, photography is arranged with the client under their Master Services Agreement. At any event, if you prefer not to be featured, tell our staff or email info@onecallevents.ca, and we will not knowingly publish identifiable images of you. On request, we will remove published images of you from channels we control. We do not publish identifiable images of anyone under 18 without a parent's or guardian's consent.
Accessibility. We make reasonable efforts to accommodate accessibility needs. For private bookings, include any requirements in your Client Logistics Form. Our casino tables can be set to sitting height for wheelchair access and accessible seating. For ticketed events, please email info@onecallevents.ca at least 7 days before the event.
8. Private Events
For private bookings, your Master Services Agreement sets out your responsibilities as host, including venue access and safety, permits and licences, alcohol service, insurance, your guests' conduct, and care of our equipment, as well as our right to pause services where safety is at risk.
9. Intellectual Property & Your Submissions
OCES owns or licenses all rights in the Website, our branding, including the registered One Call Events trademark, our content, and our event designs, décor, and materials. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or branding without our written permission.
For private bookings, your Master Services Agreement governs ownership of materials you provide and deliverables we create, and our right to reference you as a client and to photograph, record, and share your event for promotional purposes.
If you send us a review, testimonial, or photo about OCES, you confirm you have the right to share it and allow us to use and publish it for promotional purposes, unless you ask us in writing not to.
10. Our Team & Partner Services
For private bookings, your Master Services Agreement sets out how we staff your event, including our personnel, contractors, and any third-party services in your Statement of Work, and our responsibility to you for them. During your event, please direct any requests to your OCES event lead.
11. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
For private bookings, liability and indemnities are governed by your Master Services Agreement. The rest of this section applies to ticket purchases and use of the Website. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCES is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost enjoyment. For a ticket purchase, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the tickets concerned. For any other claim relating to the Website, our total liability is limited to $100.
The limits in this section do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or personal injury caused by our negligence. If you use the Website or attend a ticketed event, you agree to indemnify OCES against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or conduct at an event that causes harm to another person or to property, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. If a concern arises, please contact us first at info@onecallevents.ca, and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 15 business days. If we cannot, you and OCES each submit to the jurisdiction of the provincial and federal courts of the Province of Alberta. Nothing in this section limits your right to complain to a regulator, including the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
13. General Provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms and the event listing for any ticket are the entire agreement between you and OCES about the Website and ticketed events. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. For private bookings, your Master Services Agreement, including its Statements of Work, Change Orders, and schedules, is the entire agreement for your booking.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, we may still enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. OCES may assign these Terms to a successor in a sale, merger, or reorganization of our business. For private bookings, assignment is governed by your Master Services Agreement.
Notices. Legal notices to OCES must be in writing and sent to info@onecallevents.ca. We may send notices to you at the email address on your account or booking. For private bookings, notices are governed by your Master Services Agreement.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the revised version here with a new date. Continuing to use the Website after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The Terms in effect when you bought a ticket apply to that ticket. Updates to these Terms do not change any signed Master Services Agreement or Statement of Work, which can only be amended in writing signed by both parties.
